First Annual John Klatt Memorial Photography Contest
Announcing the first annual John Klatt Memorial Photography Contest and Community Art Exhibit, co-hosted with Old Oregon Photos!
Brief: Select a “THEN” photo from the Old Oregon Photos collection and create an original “NOW” photo to submit!
Cost: Free! No purchase necessary to enter. Simply identify your inspiration image from the Old Oregon Photos collection, and submit your “NOW” photo for consideration and exhibition.
Rules of Entry:
- One photo submission per person or group
- Images must be submitted in a jpeg, jpg, or png format
- Images must have at least 600 dpi
- No larger than 6 mb
- Submissions due 11:59 pm on Friday, September 12, 2025

What’s in it for you?
- All image submissions will be a part of the inaugural community art exhibit at Historic City Hall this fall, starting in October 2025. Each participant’s image will be printed and displayed next to its Old Oregon “THEN” inspiration image.
- Category winners will be announced at our celebration event on Thursday, October 2nd, 2025.
- Winning images will be displayed at Historic City Hall for one year.
- Category winners will also receive a $50 gift certificate to Old Oregon Photos
Judging Categories
- Middle School (grades 6-8)
- High School (grades 9-12)
- Adult, 18+
- One community vote winner
Selected Terms & Conditions
- Entrants under 18 years of age must have a parent sign the photo submission and release form.
- AI images are not accepted.
