Aurora Colony Pub – Half Century Business Club Member
The Willamette Falls & Landings Heritage Area includes many communities that showcase the region’s rich heritage and offer residents and visitors plenty of ways to engage with their history. The small town of Aurora, Oregon is a great example of such a community. Many are familiar with the town because of its abundance of antique shops. Others are frequent visitors of the Old Aurora Colony Museum. Regardless of what brings you to Aurora, all can find a place to gather around a meal at one of the newest additions to our Half Century Business Club, the Aurora Colony Pub.
The pub used to be known as the “Halfway Tavern” as it sits halfway between Portland and Salem. It is ideally positioned between many of the antique shops and the museum so it’s a convenient place to stop no matter what brought you to town. The restaurant features standard American food and is family friendly until 9pm. They’ve coined the term “friends gather here” which ties the restaurant to the city’s historic roots of community and a welcoming atmosphere. They offer rotating specials including a Taco Tuesday and occasionally have live music.
Centrally located within the Heritage Area and conveniently close to many historical attractions, the Aurora Colony Pub is a fun addition to the Half Century Business Club and is a great local business to check out next time you need a place to eat.
