n is excited to announce the revival of our Half Century Business Club program! Every five years the Coalition seeks to honor for-profit businesses that have been operational within the Heritage Area for 50 years or more. Some of these businesses have been around for nearly a century and have truly shaped the communities throughout the Heritage Area. An in person event will take place on October 11 to formally recognize these companies and their contributions.
Members of the Half Century Business Club have been operational for 50 years or more. Some of them may have been sold to different owners or may have moved locations but all are offering the same or similar services within the Heritage Area.
This year we want to get the community involved in helping us honor these organizations. In addition to hosting an event this summer, we want to encourage you to support your local economy by patronizing these longstanding businesses. Does your car need repairs? Are you looking for a new place to eat? Searching for a fun family activity? See if our Half Century Business Club has what you’re looking for. The complete list of businesses can be found on this page and we’ll be highlighting individual businesses on our social media throughout the coming weeks.
We hope you’ll join us in supporting these businesses that have contributed to the region’s heritage! We’ll continue to update this list throughout May and June. If you know of additional businesses that should be honored please let us know and we would be happy to add them to this list!
