Thank You Volunteers!
It’s Volunteer Appreciation Week! Join Willamette Falls & Landings Heritage Area Coalition us in thanking our dedicated volunteers!
Volunteers provided 480 hours of service to our organization this fiscal year-to-date. Volunteers allowed us to welcome over 1,000 visitors to our event booth at community events from the Clackamas Co. Fair & Rodeo, to the West Linn Old time Fair, Oregon City Heritage Days, the Lake Oswego Farmers Market, and the Aurora Colony Festival. Our volunteers help us present four free Heritage Talks each year and they give generously, not only of their time, but give funding support as well.
We’re proud of the major projects our volunteers helped Willamette Falls & Landings accomplish: A feasibility study for the National Park Service that’s won their approval, the first annual Heritage Leaders Wolf Meeting – a gathering and briefing for Willamette region heritage advocates and managers; a Marketing Assessment and a Management Plan for the area, and the outreach to enlist support for Congressional designation as a National Heritage Area. Their efforts this year have launched the future Home for Heritage and Culture in the Historic City Hall Building in West Linn and the list goes on.
Willamette Falls & Landings Heritage Area Coalition couldn’t do what we do without our volunteers. Help us thank our heritage heroes in the comments below!
